Announcement!

Hello friends! Are you looking for something to look forward to? Already thinking about Christmas gifts? If so, check this out:

This October, after years of pleading, and countless readers asking for it,

This October….

It’s not a movie.

Sorry if that’s what you were hoping for.

Okay now I’ve built it up too much and you guys are going to be disappointed.

I’ll just spill it.

This October Edenbrooke will be released in a beautiful hardcover Collector’s Edition with Heir to Edenbrooke included.

And here’s what it will look like!

Edenbrooke_Collectors Edition (1)

It’s the perfect Christmas gift, right? I mean, I can’t wait. I have LONGED for a hardcover copy of my book. It’s kind of a status thing with authors. A big thank you to Shadow Mountain for making this happen!

And…if this sells well, I think they’ll consider publishing a hardcover edition of Blackmoore. And if they do, I would write another short story to add to the Blackmoore story. So here’s my question: what more do you want to know about the Blackmoore world? Do you want to know what Henry is thinking up in the tower or in the music room? Do you want to know what the ending really means? If they’re going home to Blackmoore or someone else? Do you want to know what Henry does after Kate goes to India? I’d love to hear your opinions.

Also, please check my events page for a fun event coming up on June 6thย in Utah.

I’d love to know what Henry is thinking! Any and all parts from his perspective! Love both Edenbrooke and Blackmoore!

  2. Sylvia M. says:

I love the stories just the way they are and would rather not have any other viewpoints. They are just perfect. New Regency books with new characters (or supporting characters from your other books) would be a delight.

  3. Ashley says:

Yes! If you were to ever write a short story for Blackmoore- I’d love to know what Henry does during Kate’s away time in india! Or after when they’re together. Congrats on the hardcover status. You are most deserving!!

  4. Shannon says:

Can we say we want to know all of those things? But maybe especially what he does after she leaves and what their homecoming meant!

  5. Wendy Hepworth says:

Excited for the hardcover book of Edenbrooke. I love that you may give us a portion of Blackmoore from Henry’s point of view. I think I want to know what he is thinking on the tower and music room and what he does after Kate goes to India. I love to read books from both points of view.

  6. Leah says:

So exciting! I love all your Blackmore ideas but I have to admit, I would love to know a bit more about life after. Did they go home to Blackmore? What did that look like? Did his family accept her? Etc.

  7. Rachel Groom says:

Seriously!!! Eek! Um I want to know all of it!!! Anything from Henry’s POV. I have always wanted to know how Henry feels about Kate’s desire never to marry…does it kill him to hear that? And yes, what does he do with himself when she leaves for India?

  8. Jessica says:

I would love to hear about Henry’s longing, and suffering, during the time between the three proposals! Also, I’m game for what happens to Henry after Kate’s departure.

  9. Amy says:

Oh all of them! But if i have to pick one: What Henry is thinking in the tower and music room.

  10. Mika Jessop says:

Yes yes yes!!!! So excited!!! And you definitely should do Henry’s point of view just like with Heir to Edenbrooke! And I can’t wait for the whole booke from Philips view!!!! So so excited

  11. Janeal says:

I just finished reading Edenbrooke. Again. I don’t even know how many times I’ve read it over the years, but it’s probably more times than I could count on one hand. After reading it so many times, you’d think it would have lost some of its magic, but it hasn’t. I felt every emotion, as I read this week, that I felt the first time I read it. That’s the mark of a great novel, and one that is well worth buying in hardcover. I can’t wait!

  12. SUCH. GREAT. NEWS. I am thrilled!!! I will do my best to promote it! A Blackmoore novella would be amazing! I’d love to read about Henry’s time after Kate goes to India, but with flashbacks to his perspective on some key scenes from the book and maybe some new ones from his POV at that time when he is secretly in love with her. That would be such a dream!!!

  13. Kara says:

Oh this sounds fantastic! And I would LOVE to know what the ending means and if Kate and Henry are going home to Blackmoore or somewhere else. Closure please! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  14. Sasha says:

I would like to know all of the above in regards to Blackmoore and Henry. Love love that story, I have read it 3 times this year already and Edenbrook twice. Will you be writing any more in that genre?

  15. Sam Rowley says:

I’d love to hear things from Henr’y point of view! I just loved Heir to Edenbrooke! I actually recently reread them both and enjoyed them very much, I also picked up of a few things that I had missed in reading first off as I rushed through to find out what was going to happen! I love your books so very much:-)

  16. Becky says:

Hooray! I want to know all those things about Blackmoore! But if I could only pick one, I guess I’d choose to hear Henry’s thoughts. I always love to hear the other side of what’s happening. Thanks, and congrats to you!

  17. Mary King says:

I want to know all of what you just asked. Lol! But, I think most of all, I want to know what Henry is thinking in the piano room, what happens as he goes to India, and…I’d love to know what happens when they get to Blackmore. I mean, is it his home, or did he lose it? I hope it’s theirs. That would be amazing. Kind of…to show his mom she didn’t win. But honestly, anything would be awesome.

  18. Kandice says:

I think I’d like to know what he’s thinking when she finally reveals that she loves him too, that whole scene.

  19. Alicia says:

    Congrats!
As for Blackmore, I would like to know what happens after Kate runs away. How she felt as she left, first meeting with her aunt, and Henry’s feelings after she left and him deciding on finding her.

  20. Marcy says:

I want to know about Blackmoore: all those things you listed, especially the ending. And I’ve already asked for this one-but what happens to his betrothed? She’s not a villain, I’d love a bit of her story.

  21. Karen Rayburn says:

Oh wow…I want to know about All of those scenes! How about little vignettes about each one??? If I had to pick, I would love to know what Henry is thinking in the tower or music room. I’m all about the romantic scenes. I know whatever you do it will be wonderful!

  22. Megan says:

Yay!! How exciting!! I can’t wait to get it and maybe have it signed! I was so sad to lose your books in the fire

  23. Sabrina says:

Blackmore was okay, but I loved Edenbrooke. Pretty much anything relating to Edenbrooke I’ll buy.

  24. Alyssa says:

I would like to know what Henry is thinking, but would really like an explination clarifying the ending. Does Henry still own Blackmoore?

  25. Sireena Doty says:

Hardcovers are the BEST! I can’t wait! I would love to hear what the ending really means! I’ll take anything because I devour your books, and I love Henry! If you want to do them all I certainly won’t object!

  26. Kara says:

I would want to know what Henry was thinking while he was proposing! Or what happened during his journey to India to find Kate.

  27. Emma says:

Oh, oh, oh, wow! A gorgeous hardcover! I own ‘Edenbrooke’ and ‘Heir’ already, but I am soooo buying another one. I’ve been offhandedly considering how to nicely print my e-copy of ‘Heir’ so that I could have a tangible version. It’s coming out in October, you say? Couldn’t it be released in – perhaps – July? Or June! June would be great. Yeah?

Well, I’m holding out hope that you possibly re-write BOTH books from our favorite male protagonists’ POV, but I know that that is a very improbable hope. In the meantime, how about a completely new scene, such as Kate and Henry’s wedding from Henry’s eyes? Or some sort of exploration of/adventure in India?

If that’s a bit overwhelming to ask for, then I say do the farewell, y’know, when she says goodbye to him in the music room. From Henry’s POV. You could even call it ‘Icarus’ Fall’!

I loved ‘Heir’ because I got to see inside Phillip’s head and figure out what he was thinking – which I couldn’t really do beforehand. Marianne and Kate have such strong voices that I couldn’t hop heads. So, yeah, getting a viewpoint from Henry would be gold. 2400K, glimmering, dragon-hoarded, diamond-encrusted gold.

Thank you so much for letting us know! This announcement made my day!

  28. Dawn says:

I’m so excited to read the Hard Cover Version of Edenbrooke with the Prequel Novelette, Heir to Edenbrooke ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ˜ Edenbrooke & Blackmoore are my favorite Regency Romance Books of ALL TIME!!!!!!!! I’m an avid reader & have been reading Proper Romances for several years. No other Book comes even close to Edenbrooke & Blackmoore!!

It would be awesome to hear Henry’s POV in Blackmoore. What he thought in the Tower & the Piano Room & what their homecoming as a married couple & a family was like etc. Anything you write would be a welcomed gift to your devoted fans!!!

Congratulations & thank you for this wonderful gift!

  29. Alissa says:

I would absolutely love to hear more from each character’s perspective. I think it’s a mini gift to be able to know parts of the story that go beyond the original manuscript. I just think it’s so exciting! Anyways, I love your writing and support whatever decision you make. ๐Ÿ™‚

  30. Lara says:

I would love to know what happened in the morning after Kate left.
What were in the letters to her mother and Henry’s mom?
What did Henry say or do to break free of his mother?
Did he loose Blackmoore completely or what?

Love your works. Thanks so much!

  31. Mary Goulson says:

I think any and all of those options would be beautiful for a short story! I love the idea that it is from Henry’s perspective! I am so excited that your book is coming out in hardcover! So exciting! Congratulations!!!!

  32. Brandi says:

Blackmore is one of my most favorite books ever!! I have read it so many times, I want to know everything!! I want to know everything from Henry’s point of view, I want to know what is going on in his life after Kate leaves, and I do want more explanation of the ending, although I have my own theories:) I just finished the book again today actually, and something I want to know is what Henry’s theories are about what happened that night at the ball and why Kate left. Oh and I also want to know at what point did Henry really fall in love with Kate and see his side, cause he said he always did and maybe it was when he rescued her from the river, or before, but it would be fun to read his side of the story. Thanks for a great story!!
